Coaches

One of our core values is: Coaching standard- Qualified and Certified (non-parent) coaches.  SC Central Alberta believes that it is essential that all of our coaches maintain a high level of professionalism both on and off the pitch. All of our coaches are qualified and certified non-parental volunteers.  We believe that to provide our athletes with the best possible experience playing the game and advancing their skills, coaches shouldn't be parents - parents should be free to watch their players and cheer them on.

U13 Boys Team Head Coach: Kuda Nyirenda

Born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Kuda has made Canada his home for the past 12 years.  Kuda is a young and charismatic soccer coach, who has been coaching for almost 10 years.  Kuda came to Red Deer 4 years ago via Edmonton and Hamilton.  Still fresh in the coaching game, Kuda began his coaching career at St. Jean de Brebeuf Catholic High School in Hamilton.  That season Kuda became the youngest coach in the league.  After taking over the junior soccer team, he led them to a first championship appearance in over two decades.

Pursuing his education, Kuda attended NAIT on a full soccer scholarship. After his time at NAIT, Kuda returned to his former high school in Edmonton to become the head coach of the senior boy's team, taking them to back-to-back championship appearances.

Kuda developed a love to develop soccer players and identifying talent.  He obtained his youth C license in 2019.  Once this was accomplished he was recruited as an assistant coach for the Olds College Broncos men's and women's soccer teams. Over the years, Kuda has been involved and focused on youth soccer in Hamilton, Royal City Soccer in Edmonton, and the Red Deer YMCA.  Kuda is excited to be a member of the coaching staff of Central Alberta's newest club, SC Central Alberta!
